Asus Eee PC Brothers

It’s always great meeting up with someone who shares the same enthusiasm and know-how on mobile gadgets. I also found it quite special meeting someone with the same passion here in Charleston, WV, a first, after being here for more than 7 years. Today, I got to meet Michael Connick.

I’ve snapped a pic of Michael’s new Asus EeePC 1000H (black) along with my Asus Eee PC 900 (sorry for the quality since I used the iPhone to take the pic). Honestly, the 1000H’s wider 10″ screen and with looks like a standard size keyboard, makes it much more usable and much more comfortable to use. The $150 difference in price seems to be well worth it.

It was great meeting you Michael!

Full size pic after the jump.

The iPhone 3G a Month After

Almost a month with the iPhone 3G and everything is a-okay. I have Gmail, MobileMe, and Exchange all running at the same time.  With new apps almost being added everyday, the Apple AppStore is a killer feature. Here’s page one of three of apps I have purchased and downloaded from the AppStore.

Nokia E71 Screen Protector

The first mobile phone accessory I always purchase is a screen protector. I have never use any other screen protector brand except for the Ultra Clear ones from Brando. Brando started his company sometime around 2001 by just selling screen protectors. He cuts all the screen protectors in-house. Brando is based in Hong Kong but they will deliver anywhere.

Nokia E71 vs iPhone 3G

Here are side-by-side pics of my Nokia E71 and my iPhone 3G. I can honestly say that these two phones are the best out there.

While I use the iPhone more, I do switch between the two phones depending on the occasion and the need. I still prefer the E71′s thumb keybaord to the iPhone’s on-screen keybaord. I can thumb type much faster (on any langauge I prefer) and more accurate, espcially on one hand. The iPhone on the other hand excels on email management, application installation, and as a PMP.

Enjoy the pictures.

More pics after the jump.

The Nokia E71

The newest Nokia E-series phone — the Nokia E71. This replaces my old Nokia E61 and Nokia N95-3.The built-in email client makes the phone crawl when connecting to Gmail. Good thing there is the Nokia Email (on beta) that works much better. I have yet to try the latest Mail for Exchange if it provides better experience.

Thanks to Matt for selling me his extra E71 – NAM.

A lot more images after the break.
